WCST 1010 AM is a oldies formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, serving the Berkeley Springs/Hancock and surrounding areas. Currently WCST has a broadcast facility located at 11 Main Street in BuddyLou’s Restaurant, 11 East Main Street in Hancock MD, is owned by Metro Radio, Inc. and operated by Buddylou’s Broadcasting Inc. The WCST FCC Facility Location and transmitter site is located at 6321 St. James Street, Berkeley Springs WV 48322. WCST 1010 AM is currently simulcasting the programming originating on WXDC 92.9 FM from the same transmitter site.

August 7, 2018: – “National Night Out” Hancock in Motion is partnered with the Hancock MD Police Department to bring the country-wide celebration to Hancock MD. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Officers representing Hancock Police Dept., Washington County Sherriff’s Dept., Maryland State Police, Berkeley Springs Police Dept., Morgan Co. Sherriff’s Dept., and Pennsylvania State Police along with the local Fire Departments were in attendance at this family friendly celebration. Activities included were Joint Training Facility with archery tag, laser tag, bubble soccer, battle pong, snook ball and more, Rock Climbing Wall, Hub City Inflatables with Obstacle Course and Inflatable Bounce House, Take Two playing live music, Hancock Lion/Lioness with Nachos, Protection 4 Paws, Good Shepherd with hair coloring, CNB Bank with Snow Cones, M&T Bank with Life or Drugs /Tri State Support, Team Hope, St. Thomas Church with face painting, American Legion Auxillary #26, Hancock Boy Scouts with a game, Hancock Girl Scouts. Hancock Library with rock painting, State Farm, Smoke House Fire Unit Trailer, Rescue Squad with Jaws of Life demo, Black Out Veterans Tribute, Max 92.9 Oldies providing music and announcements with DJ – Big Mike, Hancock In Motion, Hancock Lions Club Cooking Hot Dogs with Chips and Water at Pavilion, K9 Demonstration, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Basketball Court, Shannon McKinley singing the National Anthem, and FIREWORKS at Dark. May 19, 2018: – “Cruizin For K9s – 2018” A full day of events held at the Hagerstown Speedway to benefit and support our K9 officers. Events included were a Cruise-in from Chambersburg PA to Hagerstown Speedway, K9 Demonstrations, Meet & Greets with K9 Officers, All Class Car Show and Shine, Vendors (Food and Crafts), Raffles and Oldies Music/Event Announcements provided by Big Mike of Max 92.9 WXDC FM. Organized by Kevin O’Rourke, 571-439-4432. Max 929 provided their services free of charge.
Since April 2018: Regularly ran Public Service Announcements from various organizations live on air by jocks, via “Max Facts” feature such as: American Red Cross blood drives, Hancock, MD Lion & Lioness Club Charity fundraisers, Amvets Post 60, Berkeley Springs WV, Washington County Free Library events, Hancock MD Fire Department events, Hancock MD Police Department events, Buddylou’s Restaurant 2nd Tuesday concerts and events for various charities (*see below), Hancock MD Parks and Recreation Department events, along with many other PSAs sent to us by various local fraternal organizations, clubs or groups.
